Ray Tracing Image
|
|
Dimensions: 1024 x 768
Size: 104KB (jpg), 2.35MB (bmp)
This was my final project in my OpenGL class. It contains
only primitive shapes, but there is some serious computation
going on behind the scenes =)
The realistic lighting of this image includes reflections, refractions,
shadows, and anti-aliasing. Each object in the scene carries its own values
for tint, shinyness, and ambience. There is more to this which I can't really
remember right now, but if it interests you go ahead and check out my
course assignment page.
The image can be viewed in either
JPG format or
Bitmap format.
The BMP takes a bit longer to download but is MUCH better quality.

Modeling and Animation

Size: 3.95MB (mpg)
This is my bug animation. The graphics in this sucker are downright awful
but hey I'm a coder not a damn artist!
The amount and placement of rocks and trees are both generated at random.
The rocks are basically grids with varying heights at different spots. The trees'
branches are given a random angle and rotation about their parent branch.
The bug has many factors that make it accelerate. It is given a random destination
every 5 seconds, and will avoid running into the scenery. If you wish to see more about this
project you can visit the
course assignment page.
